Cuando doy clases de diseño de moda me gusta explicar que la moda es, al menos, 3 cosas: lo que nos sirve para taparnos, lo que estudiamos como tecnología y lenguaje y lo que nos sirve para expresarnos. A cuál de ellas os queréis dedicar?

When I teach fashion design I like to explain that fashion is at least 3 things: what we use to cover ourselves, what we study as technology and language, and what we use to express ourselves. Which one of them do you want to dedicate yourself to?

Yo iba para diseñadora de moda. Quería crear prendas de vestir.  Eran los 80 y me fascinaba Chanel, Fendi, Gianfranco Ferré, Issey Miyake, Romeo Gigli, Krizia, Ives Saint Laurent, Ungaro, Scherrer… Me pasaba horas viendo revistas, cortando y archivando fotos de desfiles y campañas publicitarias.
Alucinaba al ver a la misma modelo en los diferentes looks, totalmente transformada de uno a otro. 

Como auténticos seductores, los bolsos se colaron en mi historia de amor por el vestir.  Y me conquistaron.  Empezó como un juego, un experimento, y poco a poco se hicieron con el protagonismo absoluto.  Me conquistaron por su condición de objeto de 3D, con sus formas escultóricas, sin necesitar un cuerpo como soporte.  Van contigo siempre, lo llevas en brazos y los acaricias.  Son buenos compañeros.  Te visten, y expresan tanto como la ropa o más.  Ojalá pronto, las prendas de vestir, vuelvan a tener su espacio en COZARLLADO.

«Sagesse» es ese compañero perfecto.  Viste, acompaña y dice mucho de quien lo lleva.   Sagesse significa sabiduría. 

Conserva las formas del «Ce qui est» pero su parte práctica y funcional toma relevancia. Te permite llenarlo con todo lo que necesitas y cerrarlo con una cremallera. Hay una versión rígida y otra más blanda. 

The why of what it is. Dressing

I was going to become a fashion designer. I wanted to create clothing. It was the 80s and I was fascinated by Chanel, Fendi, Gianfranco Ferré, Issey Miyake, Romeo Gigli, Krizia, Ives Saint Laurent, Ungaro, Scherrer… I spent hours looking at magazines, cutting and filing photos of fashion shows and advertising campaigns. I was amazed to see the same model in different looks, totally transformed from one to the other.

As true seducers, handbags slipped into my love story for dress. And they conquered me. It started as a game, an experiment, and little by little they took the leading role. I was won over by its condition as a 3D object, with its sculptural forms, without needing a body as a support. They always go with you, you carry them in your arms and you caress them. They are good companions. They dress you, and express as much as clothing or more. Hopefully soon, clothing will have its space in COZARLLADO again.

«Sagesse» is that perfect companion. Dress, accompany and say a lot about who wears it. Sagesse means wisdom.

It preserves the forms of the «Ce qui est» but its practical and functional part takes on relevance. It allows you to fill it with everything you need and close it with a zipper. There is a rigid version and a softer one. Which one do you prefer?
